So a week ago last Tuesday, I was on my way to my sister-in-laws house, Amber, to have lunch with her and her boys. As I was getting ready to hop on the freeway on 4th South, I wasn't paying attention and came over the overpass going 52 in a 35 mph zone. And I'm sure you can guess-- I got my FIRST ticket. I thought I had been doing really well in life not speeding too badly, but it finally caught up with me. As I was speaking with the officer, I thought of my father-in-law, Joe. I've been working for a while now, saving, and thought, "I can afford my mistakes just like him." For those of you who know Joe, you understand what I mean.
So yesterday I hopped online to see how much this ticket was going to cost me. I figured it would probably be around $30 or so since the officer only wrote the ticket for 5 mph over the speed limit. To my surprise, this ticket cost me $82!!! I've decided that through this I can't afford my mistakes and that I should be a little more cautious. For those of you coming to downtown, drop me a line and I'll tell you where all the cops like to hide.

only $82!?? My ticket downtown by the delta center was written for 5 mph's over and it was $93!!! Pretty good if this is your first speeding ticket. Not bad.... Slow town speed racer!
First ticket???! What a good driver you are! I'm not sure I know how many tickets I've had:(
That is pretty good that you have only had one ticket! Joe really can't afford his tickets either.
